Sunset Strip

Coming up on August 2015, will be the two year mark since demolition began in August 2013 on the site for the construction of The Sunset La Cienega Complex Hotel and Residential Towers. We’re excited to see the project moving forward. The construction is anticipated to complete Q3/2016

(  7/2 – 7/10:
Next week beginning on Monday 7/6, contractors will be mobilizing on Sunset Blvd. to begin the first major phase of the SCE transmission undergrounding scope. This first phase includes the installation of a new SCE pole foundation and trenching work in Sunset Blvd. The work will occur in the two westbound lanes on Sunset Blvd. between Miller Dr. and Queens Rd. Concrete K-rail (concrete barriers) and traffic control cones will be set up Monday morning beginning at 10am. The Sunset Blvd. westbound left turn lane to southbound La Cienega Blvd. will become the single Sunset westbound designated through lane. The K-rail and traffic control measures will remain in place 24-hours per day, 7 days a week for approximately two weeks. Extensive signage has been placed throughout the City and at the City Limits alerting motorists to the Sunset roadwork.
LADWP’s water line relocation work on the west side of La Cienega between Sunset Blvd. and Fountain Ave. will culminate today. Next Tuesday 7/7, LADWP will be repairing the roadway asphalt, during which time one lane in each direction on La Cienega will be maintained during working hours.
Thank you and have a great 4th of July weekend!
